Job Description


The Cultural Events Apprentice provides support to the Culture Team in developing a delivering the Untold Edmonton project- a programme of community heritage grants, volunteering opportunities, and cultural events and festivals.

What we are looking for: 

  • Resident within the London Borough of Enfield.
  • Apprenticeships are open to 16 and over and not in full-time education.
  • Dedication to learning and gaining new skills and an interest in supporting Enfield Council.
  • Knowledge of IT/Technical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be key for the regular interaction with colleagues from across the Council at all levels of seniority.
  • GCSE grade A*-C (grade 4-9 in the new GCSE qualification grades) in English and Maths or equivalents. You will be asked to provide evidence of Maths and English certificates or predicted grades

Management and Supervision

You will be working under the guidance and supervision of an experienced member of staff. We also have a dedicated Apprenticeship Team that support you throughout your Apprenticeship journey.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for supporting the Cultural Heritage Development Officer in the design, delivery, promotion and evaluation of cultural events and community heritage projects at Fore Street Library in Edmonton and other locations within the borough.
  • Providing administrative duties to support the Cultural Heritage Development Officer.
  • Deal professionally and effectively with a wide range of people both externally and internally in the council, using tact and discretion, assessing needs, and re-directing enquiries, where appropriate.
  • Ensuring effective planning and maintaining record keeping
  • ​​​​​​​Maintain accurate and effective communication with your line manager
